Privacy Policy

What data this site collects, who processes it, and how to ask us to delete it.

LAST UPDATED · 30 JULY 2026

This policy describes how Genius News 24 handles personal data. It reflects how the site is actually built, not a generic template.

Who is responsible

Genius News 24 is operated by Genius Creative LLC. For any question about this policy or your data, write toinfo@geniuscreative.us.

What we collect

When you simply read the site

You do not need an account and we do not ask you to identify yourself. Our hosting provider processes technical data required to serve the page, including your IP address, browser type, requested URL and timestamp. This is standard server operation and is used for delivery, security and abuse prevention.

Our own measurement

We count how our articles are read using a system we built and run ourselves. It records the page you opened, how far down it you scrolled, how long the tab was in front of you, the site that linked you here, your browser and device type, your language and your time zone.

It is designed so that it cannot identify you:

  • Nothing is stored on your device. No cookies, no local storage. Nothing of ours survives you closing the tab.
  • Your IP address is never saved. It is combined with your browser details and today's date and turned into a one-way code, so we can tell two readers apart today. Tomorrow the same person produces a different code, so we cannot follow anyone from one day to the next.
  • We keep only the site that referred you, never the full address of the page you came from.
  • We discard the query string of the page you visited, apart from campaign tags we added ourselves.

Because this data cannot be traced back to a person, we do not ask for your consent to collect it. If you would still rather we did not, seehow to opt out below — and it costs you nothing: everything on this site works exactly the same either way.

Google analytics and advertising

Separately, we use Google Tag Manager to load Google's own measurement and advertising tools. Those do set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and do share data with Google, so they run only if you agree. Details, and how to refuse them, are in ourcookie policy.

Opting out of our own measurement

We honour Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends that signal, we do not measure your visit at all — no record is written. We also honour the older Do Not Track setting the same way. Turning either on takes effect immediately and needs nothing from us.

When you contact us

If you email us — a correction, a pitch, an advertising enquiry — we process the content of that message and your address in order to reply. We keep correspondence only as long as it is useful for the matter it concerns.

Third parties involved

  • Vercel hosts and delivers the website, and processes the technical request data described above.
  • Google receives analytics and advertising data through Google Tag Manager, where you have agreed to it.
  • Our own content server. Article images are served fromcms.geniusnews24.com, a server we operate. Loading an article therefore sends a request to that server, which records standard access logs.

Our own measurement data goes to nobody. It stays on the server we operate and is never sold, shared or sent to an advertising network.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties beyond what is described here.

Legal bases

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site for technical request data and for the anonymous measurement described above, which stores nothing on your device and cannot identify you. We rely on your consent for Google's analytics and advertising tools, and on legitimate interest in corresponding with you for messages you send us.

Retention

Server access logs are kept for a limited period for security and diagnostics and then discarded. Individual measurement records are deleted automatically after 90 days; what survives is a daily count per page, which is a total and describes nobody. Google's tools retain data according to the settings described in our cookie policy. Correspondence is kept while the matter is open and for a reasonable period afterwards. If you subscribe to the newsletter we keep your address until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these, write toinfo@geniuscreative.us. Because we do not operate accounts, we may need additional information to identify the data that relates to you.

Children

This site is aimed at a professional audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

International transfers

The service providers named above may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Those transfers rely on the safeguards those providers put in place.

Changes

When this policy changes materially we update the date at the top of this page.
