Display advertising
Every unit has reserved height, so ads never push content around as they load. Standard IAB sizes:
- Billboard — 970 × 250, top of the front page, with a 728 × 90 fallback on narrower screens.
- Leaderboard — 728 × 90, in-article and above related stories.
- In-article rectangle — 336 × 280, placed inside the reading column.
- Sidebar — sticky unit alongside article text on desktop.
- In-feed — a labelled unit inside article listings, styled to the page but never disguised as editorial.
Sponsored content
A full article, written to be genuinely useful, carrying your name. It sits in the relevant section and is visually distinct: a separate accent colour, a paid-content label, and your brand in place of a staff byline.
We will help shape the piece so it earns attention rather than borrowing it. We will not present it as independent analysis, and we will not remove the label. Those rules are in oureditorial policy and they are not negotiable — they are the reason the placement is worth anything.
Newsletter sponsorship
A single labelled placement in the daily briefing. One sponsor per send, so you are not competing with three other messages.
Brand studio
For partners who need the underlying asset as well as the placement: research write-ups, explainers and reports produced to our editorial standard and published under your name.
What you cannot buy
- Coverage, or a change to coverage.
- Advance sight of an editorial article about you.
- Removal or softening of an unfavourable story.
- An unlabelled placement.
This is not posturing. A publication that sells those things stops being worth advertising in.
